Ruckle Heritage Farm
1801 Beaver Point Road
With a history of more than 150 years, Ruckle Heritage Farm is found within Ruckle Provincial Park and is the oldest working family farm in the Southern Gulf Islands.
The farm offers three unique accommodations, all with stunning pastoral views, and is also a beautiful wedding venue location. Year-round farm tours are tailored to seasonal offerings with the opportunity to spend time with adorable farm animals. This fun and informative experience gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the farm, all while learning about its rich history and the benefits of sustainable farming.
The farm raises cattle, sheep, turkeys and chickens, and grows vegetables and fruit, with year-round farm-direct meat and produce sales.
Farmer and author, Abey Scaglione, is at the market every Saturday with her book, Radical Farm: Animals, Food and Our Future. Part memoir, part homesteading guide, part love letter to farming, this book helps consumers make an informed decision on the food system they support and helps people reconnect with their food and embrace a real food diet. It is a wonderful read and a perfect local gift!
