Variety and quality prevail
Representing the best wood furniture makers working in BC today, this collection exemplifies the variety and quality of fine furniture making today. Unique one-of-a-kind pieces, original designs in limited editions and art furniture, these modern-day masterpieces are the future antiques of our region.

The fresh and the wild: young coastal designers
The show includes new work by well-known Vancouver Island furniture makers such as Michael Moore, Sandra Carr and Joseph Gelinas as well as the striking works of Live Edge Design by veteran Cowichan woodworkers John Lore and Evan Sadler. From master Salt Spring cabinetmaker, Illtyd Perkins, comes a classic Morris standing desk, perfect in every detail.

Sculptural furniture by Vancouver’s famed Brent Comber, his inimitable organic shapes and intriguing constructs made from salvaged and scavenged local woods will be on display as will. Enrico Konig’s Kurve Design with irresistible tables in fresh deco style in highly figured reddyed tiger maple and other exotic woods.

Also showing will be new work by ingenious pop furniture maker Judson Beaumont of Straight Line Design who takes furniture to new heights and far beyond it’s usual purview. Furniture of the Absurd!

A special show within the show is a collection of wood wall hangings by Wes Giesbrecht. Exquisite, meticulously crafted, captivating intricate geometric patterns in all natural woods.
